6th class trip to the Aviva
The bus left the school at half 6. It took us 3 and a
half hours to get to the stadium. We waited at the training pitch outside the
aviva for an hour. We played games, ate lunch and changed into our rugby gear.
The supporters sat down in the stand before the players paraded into the Aviva.
The team got a picture with Paul O’ Connell and chatted with him briefly. Katie
Fitzhenry and Sean O’Brien were also there. The supporters waited patiently for
the matches to start in the stands. Between matches we were shown the
international dressing rooms. The second match came and we saw Paul O’Connell
referee the match. The third match started and we found out that Paul’O Connell
was the referee in our match. throughout the final match Paul was giving us tips
to improve our tag rugby playing. At the end Paul made us line up and shake the
other teams hands and to look them in the eye and shake thier hand properly. He
contratulated us and and we ate our lunch. At the end Paul gave a speech, and
then we got the bus to go home. On the way home we stopped at Applegreen for
half an hour and took off again, we finally got home at 6 o’clock. We all had a
lovely trip to the Aviva and enjoyed it very much.
